Chairman of the Board
Ben Womer joined PFC in January 2016 after a successful career spanning more than six decades* in the domestic surveillance and homeland security fields. As Chairman of the Board, Ben oversees all PFC activities in Connecticut. During his short tenure, Ben has distinguished himself with his unwavering commitment to employee well-being and health, in particular by ensuring that his colleagues eat less, and by promoting physical fitness by involving virtually every PFC employee in a comprehensive “Walk-Me-4-Wellness”™ exercise program during regular business hours. Ben has also had a significant impact on overall productivity by teaching his coworkers how to incorporate multitasking into their everyday routines – how to simultaneously perform one-handed data entry and canine massage therapy, for example.

John C. Womer joined The Plastic Forming Company (PFC) full-time as a Technical Sales Representative in 1982 after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in English from The University of Rochester. Prior to that, he worked for PFC part-time during summers and school vacations as a Molding Machine Operator, Material Handler, and Set-Up Mechanic. During the subsequent nine years, John served PFC as Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and Vice President and General Manager. In 1991, he was named PFC President. In 2003, Mr. Womer purchased the Company from the Schurman family.
When not working at PFC (and sometimes when he should be), John enjoys piloting his Jabiru light sport aircraft. He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Mary Beth, and has four children.
VP of Customer and Product Development
Gary Amatrudo joined PFC in 1985 as a drafter and worked in the pattern shop from 1985 through 1990. In 1991, when PFC purchased it’s 1st in house CNC, Gary took over the programming and CNC machinist duties. Beginning in 1992 Gary was assigned as the Machine Shop Services Supervisor and Senior Mold Engineer where he developed a curriculum to design, program and produce a complete update of PFC’s stock and standard tooling. Gary was promoted to Engineering Manager in 1998, Director of Engineering and Technical Services in 2004 and subsequently to V.P. of Customer and Product development in 2006. In this capacity, Gary works daily with the sales, design and tooling groups to develop stock and dedicated customer products.
VP of Operations
Mike joined PFC in 1994 as the Assistant Production Manager in the newly opened Massillon, Ohio manufacturing plant. In the following 20 plus years, Mike has served in the roles of Production Manager, Plant Manager, and Director of Manufacturing before his current position of VP of Operations. Prior to joining PFC, Mike worked for Goodyear Aerospace and later Lockheed Martin supervising the assembly of electronic sub-systems for prototype defense and aeronautic projects. He earned an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology from Stark State Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron.
In his spare time, Mike trains for 5k & 10k road races. He is also a state certified high school basketball official. Mike resides in Canton, Ohio and has a son and a daughter. He can be reached at email@example.com.
Mary Beth Womer
Director of Finance and Administration
Mary Beth Womer joined PFC in 2012 and handled Accounts Payable and special accounting and financial analysis projects before moving into her current position of Director of Finance and Administration in 2015. Prior to joining PFC, Mary Beth worked for CIGNA as a group insurance underwriter and later Ernst & Young as a Health and Welfare Benefits Consultant and Area Resource Manager. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Italian from Middlebury College and an M.S.W. from Rutgers University.
Mary Beth lives in Woodbridge, Connecticut with her husband John, daughter Molly, PFC office dog Ben, and coon cat Marley.
Regional Sales Manager
Richard Kolling studied business administration at Allegheny Community College. Upon graduation, Rich accepted a job as an operations manager at A & D furniture in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pa. After a five year tenure with A & D, Rich decided to make a career change and accepted a Regional Sales position with the Cadillac Plastic Company, Inc., (at the time a fortune 500 company) advancing to Branch Manager of the Monroeville, PA location after five years of service. During his seventeen year career at Cadillac Rich continued his studies to expand his knowledge of business management, marketing and sales by attending Learning International. In 1997 Rich accepted a new challenge and moved to The Plastic Forming Company.
