What Sets PFC Apart

The way we do business, our mission, our history, and Employee Ownership sets us apart from the competition.

You should know that:

At PFC, we have already made the investment in standard molds. We base our business on our proprietary line of standard cases, a line of cases with consistent styling and features, not just an assortment of sizes. We have over 60 Stock Case sizes available off-the-shelf, and more available made-to-order.

By combining our standard mold tooling with components designed for your specific needs, we can create a unique case for much less than the cost of building a custom mold. How much less? On average, this approach can reduce tooling costs 80% to 90%, and you still enjoy all the benefits of our double-wall construction.

PFC Cases with Molded Interiors offer superior product protection, attractive display, and durability. Our Cases with Molded Interiors are inherently more space efficient than the alternatives, and our design team has a knack for packaging products in the smallest case possible – reducing the unit cost, taking up less warehouse space, and lowering shipping costs. People who use your product also appreciate how a lighter, space efficient case is easier to carry.

When the quantity is small, or where a foam interior provides just the right, “look and feel” then a custom foam interior may be the way to go. PFC Cases with Foam Interiors provide a quick and affordable custom package for your product in as little as 2-3 weeks.

Getting started

Your Territory Manager will speak with you to discuss your project in detail. We need to know as much as possible about your products and how they are used. Are you looking for custom foam or custom molded interior hard cases? Do you want to custom brand your case with color and logo application? Do you need to provide an instruction manual or other items?

Design Phase

During the design phase, we take many factors into account. We look at the biggest issues, from delivery deadline and cost concerns, down to the smallest details, like how the case will balance out when it’s carried. When you work with our team, we’ll make sure your case works for both you, and your customers.

The easiest way to begin any project is to send us all the contents of the case and an understanding of your needs and priorities. We will work with you to determine the best layout and the correct case size and provide you with a sample case and quotation. We do not charge for this service.

Include all parts as well as any other materials that may be included in the cases such as product manual, cables, batteries, etc  Including everything will assure that we can provide you with the most accurate case size and quote. It will also allow your team to assess if other features may be of benefit to you.

Consider value added features
  • Custom Logo
  • Lid Flap
  • Interior Doors
  • Trays
  • Standard or Metal Latches
  • Stock or Custom Colors

Next, you will be provided with a photographic layout of your proposed case. Your territory manager will contact you and go over the layout to make sure that it meets your requirements.

Approval

If you like what you see, we will provide you with a 3D silicone model for final written approval. After that, we are usually able to deliver molded samples within four weeks. When you approve the molded samples, production can begin quickly, usually within two weeks. By keeping design, mold-making, and manufacturing in-house, we can provide you with shorter lead times, fewer delays, and a better finished product.

PFC Cases are always made in the U.S.A.

PFC strives to make the engineering and tooling process quick and simple, which is why we do the work inhouse. That means your new product is easier to bring to market, and existing products can be converted to a PFC Case without headaches. We design and make our own tooling in our own CAD/CNC equipped Engineering Department. We even mold our cases on machines we design and build ourselves. By keeping your project in-house, we keep tight control from start to finish, giving you shorter lead times and better cases.
